Are you? So is my husband, both daughters, and my extended family. Being the "Julie, the Cruise Director" in my family does have its advantages!
I also wanted to mention that I completely forget to tell you all that my wonderful Grandmother-in-law is also an Ovarian Cancer Survivor. Not sure if you all remember her, but I did a post on her. She is truly an amazing woman.
We wear Teal to honor her, as well as my sister-in-law's mother, and all of the other women whose lives have been touched by this awful disease.
Will you join us by wearing Teal too?

Yay! I found a teal-ish shirt to wear today. It's from a St. Louis Komen Race a few years back. I'm also wearing my teal ovarian cancer lapel pin.
This Sunday is the 4th anniversary of my mom's death, and she also had complications from ovarian cancer. (Long story.) So Teal Day came at a good time for me.
P.S. I get the CA-125 test yearly. It has lots of false positives and false negatives, though. My doctor also has me get a transvaginal ultrasound every year now (to check my ovaries) because of the genetic risk I inherited from my mom.
I wore it to Safeway! (That's our grocery out here.) I thought about you as I scanned the aisles to see if there was anyone else in teal!
My mother is an ovarian cancer survivor so I'm a huge supporter of this cause.
