My father was able to have a brief conversation with our loved ones in the Houston area. They are all doing well, but their neighborhood was hit pretty hard. Trees, cars, and houses were blown over...power is out for an unknown amount of time...but by the grace of God, they are all unharmed.
Thank you all for your prayers.

I am glad to hear they are safe.
oh my gosh, hope your loves are all okay.
It's horrible! Even in S. Louisiana (my parents are SIX hours away from Houston) there is tons of water and towns under water. IKE was one nasty storm!
I am so glad that your family is okay. The pictures coming from that area are just awful.
Thank God! :)
Glad all of your family is safe and sound! I talked to my parents today, and they had a nasty run-in with Ike. That jerk knocked a HUGE elm tree onto their house's new addition and garage--in Kentucky mind you. They're without electricity, but contracters are already there working to get the house fixed. Gotta love those nasty storms, huh?
Glad to hear they are safe. Hopefully power will be restored soon.
So happy to hear they are safe. I hope that is the last of these storms for a long while . . . like a hundred years.
xoxo
