I'm Back From My Spring Break Blogging Break

and a bit upset about something. Normally I try to keep politics off of this blog because I feel that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions, but I cannot believe that Miss California is being bashed because she answered a controversial questions honestly

while there is practically no mention our President shaking hands with a known dictator and professed enemy of our country.

Am I the only one that is upset by this?

Amen sister! Very well said. I don't agree with her answer, but as a moderate conservative, Republican and Catholic, I sure as heck understand it's her right to not believe in gay marriage. You've got to love the liberal, left wing media.

Scarlet - if I let myself, I could be upset every single day about the disparity in our society right now. The news media is just killing me slowly. And I think we might as well get used to it cause I don't see a change from this for now anyway. I have quit watching Letterman cause he despised Pres. Bush so much. And the news media is absolutely infatuated with Pres. Obama - they are darn giddy. I could rant regularly, but it affects my mood! I am Miss Peppy, Positive Person . . . Ugh. xoxo

I know! First off, NC was leading the whole night and CA was second. The only thing the final answer changed was the placement of KY and UT. I personally thought UT should have been higher the whole night, but whatever. In spite of the substance in CA's answer, it really wasn't a great answer to begin with (neither was NC's), but the subject of her answer wasn't full of hate or bigotry or anything half of the people are saying. She simply stated she believed marriage was between a man and a woman. Unfortunately, that's not what the question asked, and she should have stuck with something along the line of the right of the states to vote.

I was so proud of her, shocked that she said that at THAT pageant, but proud.

As soon as she said it my hubby said "well she just lost".

Sad.

I didn't see the pageant and had to find out what all the fuss was about. It is a shame that she was 'penalized' for an honest opinion, whether or not the judges agreed with her assessment. It didn't sound like she was ugly about it, just "here's what I think."

The Obama handshake with Chavez was unnerving, as was his bow to the Saudi king.

I just wonder why Obama doesn't get the same reaction? He clearly is not for same sex marriage.

I felt the question was very inappropriate and I was surprised it was allowed.

I need to do what Preppy is doing and try to stay positive. All of this nonsense from the far-left is really starting to turn me into one "crabby" person.

Oh yeah. I could go on and on about it all. I wonder had she voiced a different opinion how much different her score would have been. I thought it was all about backing up your points. *sigh*

That was ridiculous!!! I think everyone should be able to have their own opinion and it doesn't have to match mine. Just because you are a public figure does not mean you have to agree with everyone. She obviously was not putting anyone down, she was just stating what she believes.
