Have You Seen This Yet?

Not only is the University Of Florida know for their athletic abilities...but now we are the # 1 Party School too...

Some things never change....

Only 1 month and 2 days until Gator Football 2008 starts! Cannot wait! Let the games begin!

My Monday

has turned into a give-away search. And I found another one that I have to post about...

Go to Bunny Chic Boutique...

she is giving away a $100 gift certificate to Fairy Tale Jewels

And it looks like you can also sign up on the Fairy Tale blog too! Her blog lists a $150 gift certificate! Imagine the fun things I could buy with $250! Not sure about the rest of you, but my two little girls would love to have more jewelry to wear!

(Maybe if I spend all day entering contest, then I might actually win something?!?!)

Another Give Away - Jillian, Inc.'s 2 Year Blogiversary

And I have to join in the fun.

She is having 2 give-aways each day, Monday - Friday, this week.

I'll probably sign up every day...and not win a thing! But a girl can dream, right?

Pictures From The Hannah Montana 3-D Concert Viewing Party

Well, Kyla hosted her first party. We had 5 screaming girls and 2 boys trying to act "indifferent" to the concert excitement.

Ky picked selected her outfit days ago.

Dylan modeled his glasses.

Mikey reluctantly wore his.

My daddy's girl even had her own personal glasses holder.

Front row seats as the singing begins.

Aunt Tina even got into the action with her own pair of 3-D glasses.

The kids danced...

And jumped on the furniture...

And posed for the camera...

And made silly faces.

Kyla and her daddy even had a special dance number...

complete with a twist...

and a lift! Impressive, don't you think?

And as the credits rolled, so did the tears.

Hopefully she will be so exhausted that she willingly falls into bed. I seriously doubt it, but a mom can hope.

Are You Prepared?

We are.

The

are waiting on the coffee table.

The

is waiting to be devoured.

And the

is waiting to be worn.

8:00 pm is that magical hour when I get to see my little girls (and boy) dance and sing to their favorite performer.

And to quote this performer...

It is "the best of both worlds" for me to watch.

Enjoy the concert.

A Favorite Family Tradition - Donuts With Papa

When I was a little girl, one of my most favorite things to do was go to the local donut shop with my grandpa. I use to tell him that I was going to work at a donut shop when I was older so that I could be his server. I even remember what he would always order...two old fashion cake donuts and a cup of black coffee. I always had a powered sugar covered jelly filled donut and hot chocolate with whipped cream & a maraschino cherry.

I also remember my father taking my sisters and me on "special dates". The four of us would get up early Saturday morning and eat donuts-on-sticks or donut holes and drink orange juice and chocolate milk. The three of us girls always looked forward to those wonderful times with Daddy.

Now that tradition continues with my children and my nieces & nephew. Donut "credit cards" are their favorite things to give Papa.

This morning, the kids and I enjoyed creating more memories with Papa.

Bryleigh wasn't sure what to do with her donut hole...

But once she had a taste...Pop! It was gone!

Hope you enjoyed the photos.

Now go out and create some wonderful memories with your loved ones.

My Diverse Musical Taste...

is something that people comment about all the time. At any given day, you can get into my Jeep and hear just about anything on my radio, CD changer, or i-Pod. My tastes in music range from classical (Pachelbel's canon in D) to new age (Drum Beats by All One Tribe) to kid music (Shrek's Soundtrack) to heavy metal (Deep Purple's Smoke On The Water). I know, isn't it crazy! One minute you would be listening to Roger Miller singing "King Of the Road" followed by Baha Men's "Who Let the Dogs Out?" So, when I saw this post from Nautical By Nature, I had to borrow it.

Here are my embarrassing five...

(1) Living Dead Girl by Rob Zombie - I know what you all are thinking. What a vile performer and you are right, he is...but this song has a great sound...and is a great work-out song...as long as you don't think about the words. The song is "Pure Evil" as my 4 year old likes to say.

(2) Stand And Deliver by Adam Ant - I was so completely and totally "in love" with Adam Ant when I was in Junior High. I had all of his albums and even wore face paint like his on a few occasions. Don't laugh at me...but I play his music sometimes just to drive my husband mad!

(3) Love Plus One by Haircut 100 - Just a silly little song from an obscure group that was made popular during the beginning days of MTV. It has such an "island sound" that you have to smile and sing along.

(4) Ugly Girl by Weird Al - Made the mistake of letting my daughter hear this song. She calls it the "Hungry Girl" song and requests it all the time. Cannot remove it from my play list...even if I wanted to.

(5) If Your Happy And You Know It by Barney & Friends - The song always made me smile when I was little and since my girls love listening to my pathetic attempts at singing...we have to play this one all the time too. Bet all of you know the words too...admit it to yourself.

So, who should I tag next? Why don't you admit your guilty listening pleasures and share with all of us...

If I Could Read Bryleigh's Mind...

she would say...

"Mommy, I am so tired. Can't I go to bed?"

"Sissy says that boogies taste yummy."

"I love you this much!"

And my heart swells bigger and bigger. I just love being a Mom!

Just Call Me J.E.L.L.O...

'cause I just got back from a

It was 90 minutes of massage...

that could be a bit "intense" at times...

but let me tell you this...

I feel better than I have in weeks.

And I have found a wonderful gift that my friends and family can keep buying for me over and over again! (HINT HINT)

~~~
Update - I had a couple people ask about Thai Yoga Massage. So, here is the definition that I received from my wonderful Yoga Instructor.
An ancient practice over 2500 years old, Thai Yoga Massage combines passive yoga-like stretching with gentle pressure along your body's natural energy lines to increase flexibility, relieve muscle tension, and enhance your overall well-being. it is practiced as a rhythmic dance by the practitioner who is practicing Metta, loving kindness, while working with gravity, breath, and directed touch. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing that will allow for full range of motion during the session.
Thai Yoga Massage opens up areas that are traditionally not reached with the traditional massage. Thai Yoga Massage is highly effective fore those with lower back sensitivities. The session is performed on a special mat on the floor, leaving you with a deeply nourished, relaxed, and energized feeling. it's one of the best things you can do for your body!
Woe Is Me...
what am I going to do? I have a bad double case of "Mommy Thumb" aka as De Quervain Tendinitis.
What is "Mommy Thumb" aka as De Quervain Tendinitis?
It is an irritation of the tendons in the thumb that can cause mild to severe pain in and around the thumb, but can also radiate up the arm. Doesn't that sound lovely?
How did I get it?
From doing something so awful as to pick my Bry-girl up.
How can I prevent it?
Either stop picking her up or change the way that I do it.
What are the treatments?
Take lots of Tylenol. If it keeps up, beg the doctor to look for a stronger pain killer that won't transfer to Bry-girl when she nurses.
So, am I the only Silly Mommy that keeps getting this?
Just Some Thursday Nonsense...
to keep me from falling asleep.
Took a quiz to see who my 80s Hunk is and thought it was very true to life...
Your 80s Hunk Is
Michael J. Fox
My dear sweet, wonderful husband is Alex P. Keaton. Guess I married the right guy after all. We celebrate 10 years of wedded bliss in October.
~~~

This one was just way too fun! I kept typing in different variations of my name and had to post this one...

Your Slogan Should Be

Scarlet O'Kara - Delightfully Tacky, yet Unrefined

Do you think it describes me?

~~~
Or is this one more like the true me?
What Scarlet O'Kara Means
You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.
